Welcome to our play-based learning community!

Due to recent updates from the Spokane Public School District, our Preschool will remain closed for Fall 2020-21. Our Board will continue to meet and discuss the evolving information as it comes.

Thank you to all of our wonderful families present and future. We are not a community of learning without you. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Updates regarding the re-opening of our school, will be provided regularly and as soon as available.

The South Spokane Co-op Preschool is an early learning experience for children in which parents take an active part. Young children receive developmentally appropriate stimulation in a classroom with other children, and adults learn valuable skills that help them be better parents. Infant siblings are also welcome to attend our Toddler and Family Day classes!

Parent participation is key
Children and parents attend Co-op together. While the children play and learn, the parents lead activities, prepare snacks, participate in parent education sessions, and clean up. Parents also attend a monthly business meeting and participate in fund raising, field trip planning, and seminars. Classes run from September through May each year; Tuesday through Friday. See here for more details.

See us in action
Here’s a short movie from 2013 showing what we experience at Co-op. This is a family day of mixed ages, infant to five years.

We are affiliated with Spokane Community College’s Parent Cooperative Program.
